Welcome back to school, Language All-Stars! I am out today (Monday, 2/23/15), so you get to spend your ELA period with Mr. Deshler. You will be asked to create correlations between the Holocaust and issues today that require reform. Pay attention and participate appropriately, because this will be a jumping off point for our research paper unit!
YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU TURN IN YOUR VOICES OF THE HOLOCAUST PROJECT BEFORE YOU LEAVE CLASS. IF YOU TURN IT IN TOMORROW, I WILL DEDUCT TEN POINTS.
HOMEWORK
1.) Finish up whatever classwork you have from Mr. Deshler
2.) Mr. Deshler gave you a copy of the Declaration of Human Rights. You need to read this document and dialogue with your text. Be prepared to discuss it IN DETAIL tomorrow in class. If you need this document, please click here.
3.) JOURNAL: Define the word activist. What do they do and why do they do it? What causes stick out to you that you'd like to be an activist for? Use the dialoguing that you did in with the Declaration of Human Rights to help you discover this.
