HUMANITIES - Day Three - 04/01/15

AGENDA
1.) Meet up to watch two videos about the Salem Witch Trials (video 1 and video 2)
2.) Break off into small groups - First group to room 222 for Literature Circles and the second group to room 221 for Interviews
3.) Switch halfway through our time together
4.) Agenda Books

Literature Circle Agenda
1.) Greet each other and then everyone should discuss reactions to the reading so far (open table discussion)
2.) Choose one role to share out (make sure you explain your thinking)
3.) Discuss what that group member brought to the table (no HOGS and no LOGS)
4.) Repeat steps 2 and 3 until everyone shares
5.) Set roles and reading assignments for the next meeting
6.) Complete the summarizer (see below)

Summarizer
Answer the following questions completely.  Make sure that you explain EACH answer.
1.) How did you guys work together?

What was your role?  What did you bring to the table?

What worked/what did you enjoy?

What didn't work/how can you fix it?

History Component Agenda
1.) Quick table talk about your interview
2.) Let's meet your person!
3.) Whole class discussion about the people (summing things up!)
4.) Drawing homework - We would like a visual representation about what life was like back then.  Use the videos we watched, everything we've been studying up to this point and information you've gathered from your novel to help you create this.  We're looking to see how well you fully understand the Puritan's, their lifestyle and what this hysteria looked like.
